A Wrap to 2023

Our Church

2023 Had many opportunities and blessings for Church 8025. We had 12 people give their life to Jesus and make that decision public through Baptism which is the most exciting part of all that we do. We also had 5 mission teams spend time with us and help us landscape a house for the North American Mission Board, hand out door hangers for one of our local partners, My Choice Pregnancy Center, put on 3 neighborhood block parties, feed over 200 Thornton Police Department employees and run our largest Kid’s camp to date.

Our church grew this year as well. We ended 2022 averaging 114 people in weekly attendance but we ended 2023 averaging 178. Lives are being impacted and changed throughout our community. Our church also gave over $40,000 to missions and local partners in 2023. The generosity shown by the people at Church 8025 is making a difference in our community and around the world. Our church was able to help a local elementary school by providing $10,000 of products to help them establish their special needs class.

This summer we officially finished the renovations of the church we were given and were able to officially move in to our new home. Our men’s and women’s ministry continue to grow as well as our student ministry which we took to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in North Carolina for camp.

We finished off the year with the staff going to see the movie Elf with a live orchestra and having 359 people at our Christmas Eve Services.

Our Family

Our family had quite a year as well. I had the opportunity to hike another 14,000 ft mountain, go elk hunting for a few days (mostly saw moose) and spend some time fly fishing with a great friend in Wyoming.

Ace was selected to play on a competitive soccer team as their goalie, Bowen played soccer and maybe found her new love in a summer silks class. Lenny was a cheerleader for the big three but also did gymnastics and learned how to camp. And Quincey led her competitive soccer team in scoring and actually received a call up to the 2nd highest level for her age.
