Reaching Denver Spring Update

There is Always More to Learn

March and April have been full of opportunities to learn and help NAMB s they continue to plant churches across America

In March Michael had his last Multiply training with his Cohort of church planters. Unfortunately it was also during the middle of a snow storm so we finished up our training over video conference call. The multiply training has been incredibly helpful in preparing us for the next few year.

Also in March Michael had the privilege to serve as one of the assessors for NAMB Church Planter Assessment. This is the same assessment Michael and Dale went through in September of 2017. Michael was the lead assessor for leadership, where he evaluated each of the six church plant candidates on their leadership.

Michael got to spend some time at a Leadership Pipeline Training event hosted by NAMB where they shared with us about the importance of developing leaders and some ways to go about it. Michael also got to spend some time with Rick Curtis, West Region Director for NAMB and talk about the future of church planting in the West. These were both valuable experiences.

Family and Friends

It has been a busy couple of months family wise.  We have been able to get the kids involved in some activities in hopes they would have lots of fun but also that we would make friends and expand our circle of influence here in Thornton.  Ace was able to start preschool and also baseball, both of which he loves.  Bowen started gymnastics while the other two are in school and she loves having an activity and friends that she doesn't have to share with her siblings.  Quincey joined a soccer team with a friend we met in the neighborhood and we have enjoyed getting to know this family better through our mutual love of yelling at seven year olds to "kick the ball!"

We had the pleasure of hosting missionary, JJ Alderman for a few days while he was in Denver.  JJ has been such an encouragement to us especially in this church planting journey and it is always a pleasure to spend time with him.

Michael took a quick trip to Georgia to pick up the last remaining family member, our dog Tuck.  Our family is now completely back together again. Thank you to the Ray family for taking care of him for us! Also while in Georgia Michael got to hear Josh Ray and Matt Walls speak at their churches. Both Josh and Matt have been huge influences in Michael's life.

Dale had the opportunity to attend a weekend retreat for church planter wives in Colorado Springs.  It was a time of rest, refueling and fellowship with other church planter wives.  We are very thankful for the support NAMB gives to planters and their families.
